Chisinau Turkish Cultural Center

Days after getting the legal permission to open the Chisinau Turkish Cultural Center Hakan and Luda were invited to the Turkish Embassy for the Republic Day celebration. Hakan and Luda met the Turkish Ambassador to Moldova and Turkish businessmen. The people they talked with are eager to visit the Cultural Center once it is fully furnished and open.

The opening of the Chisinau Turkish Cultural Center is an answer to prayer and a reminder of God’s faithfulness. It is evidence of God’s care and leading of Hakan and Luda, who have prayed for God to use them to minister to the Turks in Chisinau. It is evidence of God’s saving grace to go after those lost and without hope. It is evidence of God’s heart for the nations that lead those who support Hakan and Luda’s ministry from so far away. God is doing great things through ordinary people in difficult places.

The goodness of the opening of the Chisinau Turkish Cultural Center is even sweeter because of the difficulties that it was born out of. Hakan, Luda, and their daughter Ester are in Moldova because they were forced to leave Turkey because Luda’s residence permit was revoked by the government. Hakan and Luda had to leave a thriving church, which they had planted, and a ministry in Turkey, which was a deep disappointment. For years, they prayed and explored ministry partnerships in Moldova and had to persevere through silence and disappointments. Health problems, economic struggles, and bureaucratic corruption were daily hardships, yet God sustained them.

Please join me in praising God for the opening of the Chisinau Turkish Cultural Center. Join me in praying for God to use it to glorify His name, to proclaim the gospel of Christ, and to serve the community. Pray for the international students who will meet at the center. Pray for the Turks who will gather to talk and drink tea. Pray for the Sunday church service. Please pray for Hakan and Luda as they walk in obedience to what God has called them to do. Pray for God's provision for the monthly expenses and for partnerships.

I praise God for what He has done, and I’m excited for what is to come.
