Prayer Trip June 2026

Dear Friends and Family,

From September 2025 to May 2026, I am enjoying the opportunity to be a part of a 6-member women’s prayer group.  We have met once a week to pray for each other through pain and sorrow and rejoice in answered prayers throughout the Fall.  In the Spring, we will incorporate prayer walks around Ironwood church during service and prayer walking the neighborhoods next to the church.  Prayer cultivates a relationship built on the workings of the Holy Spirit.  It’s been a gift.  It’s also preparation for our Prayer Trip to Turkey

In late May to early June 2026, we will be going to Turkey to pray and walk in the city of Izmit.  Izmit is an industrial city with a small but enduring church led by Pastor Suat and his wife, Muge.  We will enjoy Suat and Muge’s hospitality and hear from them about the joys and struggles of leading their church.  We will meet the women of the church and spend time getting to know them.  And we will petition the Lord as we walk the streets of Izmit for his name to be known and glorified, for his will to be done in the hearts and minds of unbelievers, and for the protection and health of his church.  We are excited by what the Lord is doing and getting to see what he will do through the remainder of the year and on this trip!

Please pray for the trip, that we would be a blessing to Suat and Muge, that God would graciously work in our prayers to soften hearts in Izmit, and that we would communicate with and love one another well.  If you would like to receive updates while we are on the trip, you can sign up here.

Please consider financially supporting this trip.  The main cost is airfare.  Due to Suat and Muge’s hospitality, this is a relatively inexpensive trip.  We want to raise more than our needs so we can bless them with a gift, as the Turkish economy is not currently thriving.  Our goal is $4,000 per person.  If you would like to support us, here’s a link to do so.

Thank you for considering joining me in this.  I am grateful to you.

Blessings,

Kathryn Burns
