Ordinary & Extraordinary

Today I leave for a 2-week trip to Moldova. The first week of the trip is “ordinary.” I will be staying with Pastor Hakan and his family. We will talk, pray, and laugh. He will introduce me to the new people he is connecting with. I will lead worship and preach at their Sunday service. It will be an “ordinary” visit.

I anticipate that the second week will be “extraordinary.” Luke, the lead pastor of my church, Ironwood Church, will arrive in Moldova with 9 other pastors from around the US. He has invited them to partner with Ironwood Church to support the Turkish Cultural Center that Pastor Hakan has started. It was extraordinary when Ironwood Church funded the beginning of the Turkish Cultural Center. But now Luke is using his relational connections to strengthen the work God is doing. Pray for connections. May God lead these pastors to partner with the Turkish Cultural Center. May God use me in Barnaba Ministry to come alongside these potential partnering churches to help them as they navigate this partnership. May the Spirit move in each one of the people on the trip to grow them in love of God and others.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Mark
