Trip & Turkey Briefing
Barnaba Ministry does 2 things: encouraging the Turkish Church and connecting others to support the Turkish Church. At the end of September, Kathryn and I will go to Moldova and Turkey to do these 2 things.
In Moldova, we will be visiting Pastor Hakan, his wife Luda, and daughter Ester. This past year, they started the Moldova Turkish Cultural Center. We look forward to spending time with Hakan, Luda, and Ester, hearing about what God has been doing.
From Moldova, we will go to Turkey and meet up with a pastor and his father from Queen Creek Bible Church. We will be introducing the guys from QCBC to the church leaders of a church in Eskisehir. Queen Creek Bible Church started praying for this church 2 years ago. May God provide a connection and lead them in future partnership.
Lastly, we will connect with a ministry leader from Costa Rica in Istanbul. This ministry leader asked me to introduce him to how ministry is done in Turkey. We will visit 4 different churches. Each of the 4 churches has different leadership structures, different locations, and different lengths of existence. May we steward this responsibility well and may God give clarity of communication.

A one-day regional networking event where you will:
1) connect with others in the region engaged in or considering work in Turkey,
2) hear directly from workers in the field, featuring Carlos Madrigal,
3) learn about the current, critical updates on the work in Turkey by ITN leaders and others, and
4) pray for and be further equipped in prayer for Turkey.
Carlos Madrigal, born in Barcelona, is an art director, pastor, teacher, and writer. Married to Rosa Maria and the father of three children, he has served the Lord in Turkey since 1985, where he established the Istanbul Protestant Church, the first evangelical church to be officially recognized by the Turkish government. Carlos is also the author of more than a dozen Christian books in Turkish and is a regular guest on debate programs on Turkish national television channels. Kathryn and I served under Carlos’ leadership during our 15 years living in Turkey.
