Very Full

This summer has had so many moving parts. I’m writing from a hotel room in Bakersfield, California right now. Kathryn and I are on our way back from camping in the Redwoods of Northern California. It was refreshing to be in nature. Hiking in the mornings and exploring beaches is the afternoons was life giving.

Just before our camping trip, Kathryn lead a team of 5 ladies to Izmit, Turkey. They prayer walked, connected with church leaders, shared testimonies with the ladies of the church, and prayed with the leaders and ladies in the church. It was Kathryn’s first time leading a trip on her own and it was a great success.

Our son, Sam, and our daughter in-law, Berlynn, are in Turkey now helping a Turkish pastor and his wife to expand their Christian gift items business. Sam and Berlynn will return home to Arizona this coming week. Please pray for the remainder of their trip that they would be used by God and that God would work in them.

Our youngest daughter, Ezgi, in Barcelona for a month long study abroad program. It has been good and challenging. Ezgi went to church with Carlos and Rosa (the couple we served under while we lived in Turkey). Carlos was kicked out of Turkey because of his ministry a few years ago. Please pray for Ezgi.

Next week Kathryn and I will go to Kansas City to visit her parents, brother and his family. It will be good to see family and hard because of declining health. Please pray that we would be a blessing.

It is such a busy summer and I’m starting to make plans for this next year. :)
